Black News Channel Election Coverage Continues With 2nd Trump/Biden Debate
Tallahassee, Florida – October 20, 2020 – The Black News Channel (BNC), the nation’s only 24/7 culturally specific news network that reflects the Black community’s diverse viewpoints, continues its reporting on the Presidential campaign with its coverage of the final debate between President Donald J. Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden on October 22, 2020 click here. The debate is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. EST, followed by a post-debate discussion from 10:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. EST.
The second debate between the two candidates was canceled when President Trump was hospitalized after testing positive for COVID-19 and refused to participate in the virtual format proposed by The Commission on Presidential Debates. After a contentious first debate between the two candidates and growing doubt over which party will control the Congress, viewers are encouraged to look to BNC for its distinctive My Vote 2020 daily election countdown coverage and breaking news leading up to the November 3rd election.
“Many influential figures in the political arena are convinced that this is the most important election in recent history,” BNC President/CEO Princell Hair shared. “This election is occurring in the context of a national pandemic, social unrest induced by racial inequality, and economic uncertainty. With so much at risk, Black viewers need current events to be covered in a relevant way that shows a clear path to issues that directly impact their lives and communities. This is the mission of the Black News Channel.”
The final debate will be held at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, and is the last opportunity for voters to see both candidates together on the same national stage before the election. It will be moderated by NBC News’ White House correspondent Kristen Welker and cover topics such as Frontline Efforts in Fighting COVID-19, American Families, Race in America, Climate Change, National Security, and Leadership.
Black News Channel is an independent network that is minority-owned and operated, and the nation’s only provider of 24/7 cable news programming dedicated to covering the unique perspective of African American communities.
