Black soldiers often do not get the credit they deserve for their service and sacrifice for the United States. This is the time to thank the service men and women who have lost their lives defending the nation.
More than a million African Americans served in the US Armed Forces in World War II. Although many faced hostilities and were in segregated units, they served with bravery and honor. Our fallen soldiers are owed prayerful gratitude and a moment of observation as we enjoy this Memorial Day Weekend.
