Michael Anapolsky is Black News Channel’s vice president of advertising sales. Mr. Anapolsky has worked the past 28 years in various sales and programming leadership positions in both the cable television and broadcast industries.
Mr. Anapolsky held the position of group vice president of sales and programming for Media One and then AT&T Media for 18 years, during which time he directed advertising sales, local programming, and news operations in Florida, Virginia, New York, and Minnesota. He is a two-time winner of Cable Magazine’s Innovator of the Year award, as well the Cable Advertising Bureau’s (CAB) President’s Award. Mr. Anapolsky has remained a constant leader in the cable television industry by developing ad sales training and professional development tools, creating new revenue-generating ad sales models, and authoring groundbreaking branding promotions and advertising campaigns for national and local accounts. Under his leadership, Mr. Anapolsky pioneered efforts to gather the first audience research data and information gained from cable television digital set-top boxes in the United States. Now, this method of gathering audience research data is used nationwide to determine the viewing habits and preferences of TV watchers everywhere.
